Why does sulphate-free matter.

Sulphates are detergents, or surfactants. The most common found in personal care products are sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and sodium laureth sulfate (SLES). A type of synthetic ingredient commonly added into personal care products to remove dirt and create a foaming lather. This foaming effect is often experienced as pleasant and associated with a 'clean' feel. Sulphates are efficient cleansers – perhaps a little too efficient. In fact, they strip the natural oils from your hair and skin and often cause dryness. They are generally very aggressive and increase the risk of skin irritation. Sulphate-free products provide a gentler clean and reduce damage to your hair and skin.

We formulate all our products inspired by minimalism, carefully choosing the ingredients you need and nothing you don’t. In all Versi products, sulphates have been replaced by natural plant-based surfactants that clean and at the same time nourish your skin and hair. The main difference is, they won’t strip your hair and skin of their natural oils that are much-needed. This leaves your skin feeling soft and cleansed, without the risk of dehydration and irritation. Sulphate-free products are perfect for sensitive skin and help to restore your skin’s natural pH balance.

The result of switching to sulphate-free products? After a few washes, the natural balance of your skin is restored. Your skin will start to feel incredibly soft and stays well-hydrated. Your hair stays healthy and strong and will look and feel clean, smooth, and shiny.
